Please note that for all sheet piling applications there is a requirement for a certain amount of force to install a pile in to a specific ground type.   Small hammers, particularly hand held do hold appeal for access restricted sites, but they do have limited force and on some occasions this will not be sufficient.

Budget Plastic Piling Minimize

APE Plastic Piling is proud to present its range of economy products for those applications working on a tight budget.  These products, whilst offering limited strength and drivability, are suitable for erosion control projects and scour protection, whereby load upon the pile is marginal.  Within the DIY market these products are ideal for short retaining walls, pond liners and garden edge protection.

This range currently consists of three plastic piles, the EcoZ, the MasterPile and the Trench Pile.  Successful installation of these product very much depends upon the ground conditions, and it is more common to install these sheets using hand held equipment or trench and fill.

APE has devised a number of side sleeves and mandrels that can strengthen these sheets during installation enabling the use of the EMV70 vibrator.  Using this method sheets of up to 3m can be driven typically 2m into the ground.

For deeper penetration or greater strength, consider sourcing piles from the other three ranges; Traditional, Advanced and Premier Composites.

Masterpile Plastic Piling

The MasterPile from APE Plastic Piling is a U pile, with trench sheet style interlocks.  This provides easy joining of the sheets during installation, but not as water tight as an I beam interlock.   The major appeal of this section is its ability to interlock with steel trench sheeting.   The MasterPile, is unique in this ability and so is the only plastic pile that can seamlessly be interchanged with the popular L8 and M7 steel trench sheets.

Economy Z Plastic Piling

The EcoZ is one of APE's most popular sections, and is one of the original designs employed for plastic sheet piling.  It is a Z pile that can be used in two formats, Z rib; where the sheets are all the same way and Box rib, where the section is alternated making a large U pile.   The Z rib provides the best coverage, whilst the box provides the greatest strength.

Whilst based upon one of the original standard pile designs, the EcoZ benefits from an enhanced interlock design that provides greater pull-out strength.

Trench Pile Plastic Piling   The Trench Pile is new to APE Plastic Piling, and has been introduced to provide a section with a flatter, shallower profile.  When used within a shoring application, the centre pan is ideal for insertion of wedges.
